How to add it
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Add a new app or connector with the name MapPoster and this server URL,
with no authentication:
https://mcp.mapposter.xyz/chatgpt - In a new chat, choose MapPoster from the + menu and ask for a poster. ChatGPT finds the place, applies your style and shows the poster in the chat, with Download free (or Open in MapPoster) and Order a print.
Things to ask
- "Design a heart-shaped map poster of Paris, where we met, as an anniversary gift, with a heart on the Pont des Arts and the text 'Where it all began'."
- "Make a housewarming gift: a map poster of my friends' new neighbourhood in Utrecht, with a heart on their street."
- "One poster of where we met, got engaged and got married: Amsterdam, Rome and Lake Como."
What ChatGPT can do with it
- Find places: cities, neighbourhoods, addresses, landmarks or coordinates.
- Design posters: theme, title and subtitle, fonts, size and shape, frame, markers and routes, shown in the chat with the free styles to try on it. The free download is a PNG with a small watermark; premium themes and larger sizes are on mapposter.xyz.
- Order prints: the poster card opens the print order on mapposter.xyz: a poster, a framed print or a canvas, printed at 300 DPI and shipped to 20 countries, to you or straight to the person it's for. Nothing is bought inside ChatGPT.
Privacy
MapPoster only receives what ChatGPT sends to its tools: place searches, poster text and settings. It never sees your conversation. Place searches are passed on to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (or Komoot's Photon as a fallback) to find coordinates. We don't store your poster text or your search text; we only count searches. Details are in our Privacy Policy, section 5.
