Nara City Map Poster
Nara was Japan's first permanent capital in the eighth century, and its legacy is a vast green park where wild deer roam freely among ancient temples and the great bronze Buddha of Tōdai-ji. The historic core sits in a basin ringed by gentle mountains, with the temple precincts and Naramachi merchant district giving the map a calm, open structure.
