York City Map Poster
York is wrapped by the most complete medieval city walls in England, enclosing a tangle of narrow streets where the Rivers Ouse and Foss meet. The Minster looms over the old core, and lanes like the famous Shambles wind so tightly that the upper storeys nearly touch — a street plan layered by Roman, Viking, and medieval hands.
